About Sid

Sid Wright is a professional singer/songwriter and musician with over 20 years experience in performance and composition. 

Originally from Cumbria, Sid moved to York in 2015 to teach full time. In 2014, Sid celebrated 10 years as a private tutor. He is a proud member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors.

Before teaching, Sid released 13 albums and has composed music for independent films, plays, internet chat-shows, gaming podcasts, and even books. His superb talent led him to being featured in iTunes' 'Best of 2012' with only his second album. He was unsigned at the time. During this time, Sid received a handful of record label opportunities but performing and that life ultimately wasn't what he wanted. Simple put, he discovered teaching to be far more rewarding.

Outside of music, Sid is an author of comedy novellas and a professional cartoonist and illustrator. He has also dabbled with voice over work.
